What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foster Care Therapist position at Sunrise Children's Services?
Master’s degree in counseling or related field required. LIP preferred with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health related setting working with families and children but an associate licensure will be accepted if three years of experience in a mental health related setting working with families and children is documented
Must be able to pass background checks and drug test
Job Duties:
- Provide individual, family and/or group counseling to clients as the client’s treatment plan indicates the need
- Develops the Comprehensive Assessment, Comprehensive Treatment Plan and the annual reviews for assigned clients.
- Lead monthly treatment team meetings and provide feedback regarding the periodic reassessment, evaluation and adjustment of the youth’s progress and his/her treatment plan.
- Complete all clinical documentation in the electronic clinical database system within timelines established by agency procedure for each client
- Develop/Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Clinician’s Desktop to ensure clinical requirements are met as well as appropriate documentation for Joint Commission, OIG, CRP, and all accrediting agencies.
- Represent the agency in community settings with various community partners in support of foster families, clients, and the agency as directed by the Foster Care Director
- Participate in the completion of the foster home supervision visits as assigned by the Foster Care Director.
- Participate in regional on call rotation

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
