What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teachers Aide position at sunrise child care and learing center?
Teacher Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
- Help prepare and serve snacks and meals.
- Assist children with toileting, handwashing, and other hygiene routines.
- Support learning activities, including reading, art, music, and outdoor play.
- Set up and clean up classroom materials and learning centers.
- Observe and report children's progress or concerns to the lead teacher.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Help with nap time, transitions, and daily schedules.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations.
- Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain confidentiality of children and family information.
- Assist with documenting daily activities and child observations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Lead Teacher.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Experience working with young children is preferred.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass required background checks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
