Position Title: Clinical Supervisor
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Supervises: Care Managers (Counselors), Case Manager, Intake Coordinator, Peer Recovery Coaches
Purpose of Position: Provides Clinical Supervision to staff in substance use disorder treatment center. Facilitates and enhances the provision of high-quality treatment services to inpatient and outpatient clients based on the applicable competencies and evidence based practices for the treatment of substance use and co-occurring disorders. Balances administrative responsibilities of clinical supervision with direct service delivery.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field with licensure relevant to degree held. CAADC (Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor) credential through the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals required. CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor) credential or eligible for a Development Plan working towards CCS required. Experience in competency working with Prepaid Inpatient Health Plans and accrediting/regulatory bodies, clinical planning, and providing supervision is preferred.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
· Provides supervision to staff ensuring services are provided in compliance with established standards, best practices, scope of their practice, and accreditation and regulatory requirements
· Facilitates individual and group supervision, ongoing consultation to staff addressing complex treatment strategies while applying clinical skills needed for high-quality care
· Monitors, evaluates, models, and promotes clinical competence and professionalism in a diverse staff
· Supports staff implementing healthy case load management practices, monitors and supports required clinical documentation training, and ensures authorization of services are up to date
· Supports staff in upholding ethical standards, applying appropriate problem solving and decision making skills, and applying conflict resolution strategies
· Supports staff in training, professional development, and completion of the Michigan Certification of Board for Addiction Professionals credentialing process
· Collaborates with leadership team on implementation of strategic planning that align with the agency mission and high-quality, evidence-based addiction treatment service delivery
· Provides ongoing, comprehensive chart review and auditing of client records and clinical service delivery, providing feedback to staff as appropriate to improve the content of records and support staff development in the writing of comprehensive multi-dimensional assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other supporting documentation
· Applies knowledge and supports implementation of program policies and procedures and confidentiality standards
· Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate professionally, tactfully and diplomatically, providing appropriate, confidential feedback
· Maintains limited case load of inpatient and outpatient clients and group coverage
· Collaborates with team to maintain agency census
· Demonstrates knowledge of Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards, licensure rules and regulations relevant to the agency
· Completes performance evaluations; collaborates with Chief Executive Officer or Human Resources Director to address personnel issues and disciplinary or corrective action needs
· Participates in regularly scheduled leadership team meetings to support quality improvement

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
