Overview
We are seeking a HEAD MECHANIC to manage our existing team of mechanics, coordinate workflow and act as a liaison between customers, the dealership and warranty companies.
The Ideal candidate will have a diversified background as a mechanic, as well as experience in communicating effectively and calmly with customers. Management and Organizational skills are also required.
Duties
- Perform maintenance and repairs on various vehicles, both foreign and domestic.
- Diagnose automotive electrical systems and troubleshoot issues effectively. MUST HAVE A HIGH QUALITY SCANNER that can recode and reprogram as needed.
- Conduct inspections of powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and differentials.
- Ability to tear down and rebuild engines.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding their vehicle's condition, necessary repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
- Communicate clearly with Warranty companies to get reimbursed for claims
- Must own a Launch Tool Set
- Experience with All Data Software
- Experience with Snap-On Scanner Tool
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive service practices, including diagnostics and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive repair are a plus.
- Highly proficient English speaking
