Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our outpatient psychiatric practice in State College Pa which serves age ranges from toddler to geriatric populations The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess a diverse skill set to provide comprehensive nursing services.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include assisting with patient/prescriber(s) needs such as but not limited to assisting with telephone triage(s), medication refill monitoring and facilitating ,medication education as needed for patient(s)/families, lab result reviewing and routing, medical records related requests as needed, prior authorizations, documentation, triage, processing patient records.
Additional duties will vary and may include: assisting with specialist programs as determined, obtaining patient vital signs, entering screening data into EHR such as medication reconciliation, smoking status, height, weight; and administering subcutaneous or intramuscular injections.
Requirements
Candidate must possess: computer skills, excellent time management, organizational ability, communication and customer service skills. A basic understanding of: medical terminology, health insurance, HIPPA Regulations, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, are necessary. Professionalism, flexibility, initiative and professional assertiveness are required. Current Practical Nurses License and CPR required.
