We are seeking a Director of Growth to lead and scale our residential sales organization while supporting strategic commercial growth. This is a leadership role for someone who can build processes, develop people, and drive performance—while still being capable of closing deals when needed.
Job Summary:The Director of Growth will lead and scale Sunpath’s sales team, refine marketing and sales processes, and drive consistent revenue growth across residential and select commercial opportunities. This role oversees an existing and growing team, with responsibility for hiring and scaling as the company expands. Success will be defined by improved conversion rates, revenue growth, and team performance, while building a scalable, high-performing sales organization for Sunpath’s next phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, lead, scale, and manage a high-performing residential sales team
- Own and improve the full revenue engine—from lead generation through close—by building and refining sales processes, tools, and CRM workflows to increase conversion and scalability
- Develop and lead ongoing training, coaching, and field support to elevate team performance, improve close rates, and ensure consistent execution of sales processes
- Establish clear performance metrics, accountability structures, and coaching systems
- Analyze pipeline performance and implement data-driven improvements
- Partner with leadership to align marketing strategy and tactics with sales goals and pipeline needs
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new sales representatives as the organization scales
- Support and occasionally lead commercial sales efforts alongside company leadership
- Maintain a strong understanding of Georgia energy markets, utility structures, and solar economics
What You Bring
- 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a sales leadership or management role
- Demonstrated success managing and scaling a sales team with measurable performance outcomes
- Strong track record as an individual contributor with the ability to close deals
- Experience managing both inbound and outbound sales pipelines
- Strong experience using CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) to manage pipeline and reporting
- Ability to develop, implement, and optimize sales processes and performance metrics
- Comfort working in a fast-growing company where structure is evolving
- Strong communication and coaching skills
- Alignment with Sunpath’s mission and values
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions
What Will Set You Apart
- Experience in the solar, renewable energy, or adjacent industries (energy services, home services, construction, or electrical)
- Familiarity with residential solar sales models, financing structures (cash, loan, PPA), and customer acquisition channels
- Familiarity with Georgia energy markets, including utility rate structures and interconnection processes
- NABCEP certification (PV Technical Sales or PV Associates credentials)
- Experience with tools such as Solargraf, Aurora, Helioscope, or Energy Toolbase
- Experience building or scaling a sales organization in a high-growth environment
Compensation
- Competitive base salary $30k - $50k range based on experience
- On-Target Earnings range $120k - $200k
- Performance-based commission on personal sales
- Override commission tied to team performance

Work Environment
- Office-based leadership role with routine customer/project site visits
