Sunny View Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to provide clinical leadership and ensure high-quality patient care at our facility. As a Charge Nurse, you will be a vital link between staff nurses and management, coordinating daily operations and acting as a key resource for your team.
Key Responsibilities
Unit Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for the unit during your shift, managing staff, resources, and overall patient care.
Clinical Coordination: Direct patient flow, including admissions, transfers, and discharges, to optimize unit efficiency.
Staffing & Delegation: Assign nurses to patients based on acuity, manage scheduling, and provide direct patient care as needed.
Mentorship: Guide and train new nurses, students, and existing staff, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Patient Advocacy: Ensure that safety standards are consistently met and proactively resolve any conflicts or issues that arise on the unit.
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered.
Exceptional communication, leadership, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills.
