Job Overview
We’re looking for a talented Marketing Associate to support a wide range of initiatives aimed at building awareness of Sunnyvale Community Services and driving engagement with our agency. This position will play a key role in executing integrated marketing strategies, social media, printed marketing materials, web presence, events, and more. The Marketing Associate will report to the Marketing Manager and will work closely with all facets of the agency.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital (social media, email, web), print, video, and live events.
- Create flyers for the Programs team for their client resource fairs and campaigns (Back to School & Holiday Toy Drive)
- Edit basic graphics or videos for social media, PowerPoints and Flyers using tools such as Canva or similar platforms
- Create and track the list of updates to the website monthly to send to the website vendor for updates
- Conduct research on target audiences, competitors, and industry trends and produce reports for Development to review monthly and quarterly
- Partner with program teams to craft engaging client success stories and impact narratives
- Support our monthly tours through PowerPoint updates and name badges
- Provide comprehensive event support for annual fundraiser and donor stewardship events, including pre-event preparation and post-event follow-up
- Support campaign launches by coordinating timelines, assets, and communications
Social Media:
- Content writing and proofreading for social media as well as Monthly Electronic Newsletter
- Develop, schedule, and analyze social media content, delivering performance reports and recommendations
- Monitor social media trends and recommend new content ideas or strategies
- Track key performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversions) and provide actionable insights
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and materials:
- Creation of flyers, posters, and other marketing materials to help promote the event and drive attendance and donations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education
- 2–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook) and content planning
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress
- Experience with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
