Interim Director of Health Services (Licensed Nursing Home Administrator)
We are seeking a dynamic Interim Director of Health Services (Licensed Nursing Home Administrator) to lead our healthcare team and ensure the highest standards of patient care. This pivotal role involves overseeing healthcare delivery within our facility, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Guide and manage healthcare staff to ensure efficient operations and exceptional patient care.
- Medical Records Management: Oversee the accuracy and compliance of medical records with regulatory standards.
- Quality Assurance: Regularly review documentation to uphold quality assurance and enhance service delivery.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for health services, optimizing resource allocation.
- Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals to implement best practices in acute care settings.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to health regulations and policies within the facility.
- Training & Support: Provide training and support to staff on health services protocols and procedures.
- Patient Care Monitoring: Monitor patient care processes and outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
- Licensure: Licensed by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation under Chapter 468, Part II, F.S. as an administrator, or eligible for licensure. Minimum of two years’ experience in long-term care.
- Knowledge: Extensive understanding of health care services principles and practices.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and healthcare-related software programs.
- Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living or home health.
- Supervisory Skills: Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Medical Records Management: Knowledge of medical records management practices and regulations.
- Anatomy & Physiology: Understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
- Documentation Review: Experience with documentation review processes to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
- Budgeting: Skills to effectively manage financial resources within the health services department.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, patients, and external stakeholders.
- Acute Care: Familiarity with acute care environments is preferred.
