What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Child Care Provider position at Sunnyside Preschool and child care?
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Location: Sunnyside Preschool
We’re looking for a warm, dependable, and team-oriented teacher to join our Sunnyside family! If you enjoy helping young children learn, grow, and explore the world around them—and you’re great at staying organized and communicating—you might be a perfect fit.
Please note: This position does not include childcare benefits or coverage. Employees are responsible for arranging their own childcare.
What You’ll Do
- Create and lead fun, engaging, and age-appropriate learning activities (stories, games, art, sensory play, and more).
- Track and celebrate each child’s progress, sharing updates with families in person and through our communication app.
- Partner with parents to set learning goals and address any concerns with care and professionalism.
- Work closely with fellow teachers to maintain a supportive, positive environment.
- Keep the classroom clean, safe, and inviting in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with daily care routines, including diaper changes.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working in a childcare or preschool setting.
- Familiarity with classroom safety and sanitation best practices.
- Calm, friendly, and dependable personality.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Required certifications:
- Child CPR & First Aid
- Washington State Child Care Basics 30-Hour Course
- Negative TB test
