Landscape Crew Member
Position Summary
The Landscape Crew Member is responsible for working to transform yards and gardens by following the direction of our skilled foremen.
Position Duties

Work with landscape foreman to accurately interpret and follow detailed instructions from designers and homeowners.

Deliver exceptional customer service to landscape customers.

Train on best practices of landscape installation to meet Sunnyside Gardens standards.

Display dependability, safe work practices, and a strong work ethic.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Perform inventory and clean/service tools and equipment as needed.
Experience Required
-
One (1) year of prior landscape or outdoor experience preferred.

Experience operating bobcats, sod cutters, or other relevant heavy machinery is a plus.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Valid Drivers License required.
Skills Required

Must display good communication, organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Ability to demonstrate artistic attention to detail in all phases of landscaping.

Must be friendly, possess a team mentality, and the ability to build rapport.

Must have the ability to perform physical labor, accept and adapt to change, be able to work in a fast-paced environment independently.

Must be able and willing to work overtime. Additional hours may be needed in peak seasons.

Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Must be able to utilize required safety equipment when needed.
Physical and Mental Demands
Requires constant (67-100%) standing, walking and lifting of plants and nursery products of up to 75 lbs.
Requires frequent (34-66%) reaching, kneeling, stooping, and climbing while working. Requires the ability to push and pull wheeled carts with nursery products. This position requires the ability to operate basic tools along with excellent manual dexterity and visual skills. Must be able to work in and around high UV light, wet or humid conditions, fumes, heat, cold, chemicals, and high levels of noise. Requires the ability to communicate clearly.
