Position Overview & General Responsibilities

We're looking for compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our teams in Assisted Living, Healthcare, and Memory Support neighborhoods. Limited opportunities available for Direct Care Aides (DCAs) in Assisted Living and Memory Support. Requirements

CNA Candidates (Healthcare, AL, or Memory Support):

• Must have completed a 120-hour CNA certification course
• Must have passed the Virginia NACEP test
• Must hold an active Virginia CNA license through the Virginia Board of Nursing
  
  

DCA Candidates (AL/Memory Support Only)

• Must provide original DCA certification
• Eligible for employment in Assisted Living and Memory Support areas only
  
  

All Candidates Must Have

• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to medical emergencies
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong customer service mindset and hospitality-focused approach
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and make sound decisions in fast-paced situations
  
  

Physical and Environmental Considerations: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time. Additionally, employees will routinely sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 60 lbs or less and occasionally more than 60 lbs. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. Employees may come into contact with body fluids and infection control practices are required. Operate patient care equipment such as, but not limited to, electric and manual high/low hospital bed, wheelchair, mechanical lifts, scales, etc. Minimal hazards if required Universal Precautions are followed. Employees must meet all training requirements as required by Federal and State regulations, and by Sunnyside.
