TITLE: Trained Medication Aide (TMA)
REPORTS TO: DON
Job Summary: Administer medications according to a trained medication aide’s scope of practice. Provide residents hands on cart.
Qualifications: NA/R qualifications. TMA course completion. TMA skills passed. Must know, understand and use Standard Precautions. The TMA is also required to have an ability to read, write and speak English, and complete and pass a state required background study form which checks for certain criminal convictions or serious/recurring maltreatment.
