Skilled Nursing Facility Central Billing Department looking for Biling specialist
This billing specialist will be responsible for submitting claims to insurance and following the claim to completion for multiple nursing home facilites in our centralized location.
Responsibilites:
Verifing insurance orders for accuracy and completeness.
Transmit/submit claims (paper or electronic) to insurance payers for reimbursement
Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary.
Maintain supporting chronological notes that detail actions taken to resolve outstanding account balances.
Contact clinicians and facilities needed to expedite claims processing.
Review all billing for accurancy and work with other departments to ensure that billing goes out correcty and timely.
Candidate must:
Have an understanding of insurance payers .
Be a team player.
The ability to adjust to change.
Must be dependable and punctual.
Prefered skills include:
Medical Insurance Knowledge and Billing experience.
Microsoft Office Products.
This position is located offsite in our Central Billing Office not in the Nursing Home itself.
