A Material Handler and Tool Room Attendant maintains SunnyCor’s inventory of raw materials and cutting tools and fixtures.

Specific responsibilities may include:

· Organizing and maintaining storage of raw materials and cutting tools and machining fixtures.

· Performing receiving inspection on purchased raw materials and tools;

· Preparing raw material for production including cutting material to size with use of CNC saw, and moving prepared materials throughout the shop. Use of forklift may be required;

· Maintaining inventory of tooling and fixtures, including managing database;

· Working with Process Engineers to prepare job-specific kits of tooling and fixtures prior to production;

· Issuing raw material and tooling kits to machinists and recording in database;

· Tearing down kits as they are returned to the tool room;

· Inspecting returning tools for wear or damage and reporting damage to Material Review Board for disposition;

· Recording returns of mateiral or tooling into database;

· Preparing requisitions to replenish tooling inventory;

· Performing preventive maintenance on tooling and fixtures;

· Ensuring all raw materials, tools and fixtures are properly labelled;

· Performing physical inventory counts periodically;

· Monitoring shelf life items and recall list;

· Other responsibilities as directed by supervisor.

· An attendant may be required to fill-in elsewhere on the shop floor including operating machines, deburring, or inspection if qualified

Experience Prerequisites: Candidates with inventory or stock room experience especially in an Aerospace/AS9100 environment are highly preferred. We are willing to train candidates that possess the basic skills listed below and show an aptitude for detail-oriented work.

Skills:

Basic: Excellent physical organization and time-management skills; problem solving ability and attention to detail; excellent computer software skills including data entry, word processing, spreadsheets, and data files; ability to work independently; effective written and verbal communication; ability to operate a fork lift; and ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

Skill set for candidates with previous experience: In addition to basic skills listed above, experienced candidates should have an excellent understanding of the types and uses of various cutting tools.

Candidates may be required to demonstrate skills.
