Responsibilities
As an Associate Optometrist, you will:
- Provide comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages
- Perform accurate refractions and prescribe glasses as appropriate
- Fit and manage contact lenses
- Diagnose, manage, and treat common ocular conditions within California optometric scope
- Use advanced diagnostic tools to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
- Educate patients clearly and professionally about their eye health and vision needs
- Collaborate with technicians, opticians, and front office staff to provide a smooth patient experience
- Occasionally assist with pretesting when needed, though most pretesting is handled by technicians
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
Qualifications
- California Optometry License required
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong refraction skills and solid clinical judgment
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Comfortable working with patients of all ages
- Team-oriented, professional, and reliable
