What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher - 5th Grade Math/Science position at Sunny Hill Intermediate?
This position is for the 2026-2027 school year.
JOB GOAL: Work with students to help them learn concepts in subjects such as science and mathematics. Assist students in applying concepts they have learned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING:
- Bachelor Degree in Education,
- Hold appropriate Tennessee certification license
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Effective decision-making and verbal and written communication skills
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with
provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.

- Provide an instructional program that is differentiated.
- Create a secure classroom climate.
- Analyze data and adjust your lessons accordingly.
- Plan, develop, implement, and monitor with student success as your goal.
- Use available technology in your lessons.
- Communicate effectively with parents and students.
- Assist with others duties as assigned by the Principal
