In this role you will safely operate a propane Industrial Forklift in day-to-day operations of the facility. The material that is moved throughout the facility comes in a variety of shapes and is not uniform. Experience with moving a variety of equipment and loosely packaged items is necessary.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must take and pass company forklift training program
- Able to communicate and work well with others
- 3 years forklift experience
Preferred Skills:
- Forklift experience required.
- High degree of attention to his/her surroundings
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to get on and off a forklift many times a day
Work Environment:
- Warehouse/Production environment
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks at the direction of the Scale Operator and Logistics Manager
- Lock out trailer and chock the wheel
- Place material safely on floor scale
- Put material in designated area determined by scale operator
- Double or triple stack skids when possible in a safe manner
- Use horn at all intersections and blind spots
- Drive at a safe speed always
- Wear seat belt always
- Always wear proper PPE
- Report any unsafe conditions to Warehouse Manager immediately
- Shrink wrap any unwrapped skids
- Sweep out trailers when done unloading
- Load trailer with supplies when necessary
- Unlock glad lock and remove chock when done sweeping and loading supplies
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist other departments when instructed to by Warehouse Manager
- Fill metal, trash and plastic roll-offs when using the rotating forklift
- Refill commodity gaylords when instructed to by Warehouse Manager
- Perform maintenance and check operation of forklift daily. Complete Forklift checklist daily
- May be assigned to other departments at the discretion of Management

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
