In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience in transportation operations, while building critical skills in sourcing, compliance, and relationship management. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard qualified carriers to meet Sunline’s operational needs, ensuring alignment with company safety and service standards.
- Conduct compliance checks and verify carrier credentials using established vetting tools.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, acting as a reliable point of contact for questions or support.
- Respond to carrier inquiries and assist in resolving service issues.
- Communicate regularly with the Carrier Sales team to align sourcing efforts with active freight demand.
- Keep carrier records accurate and up to date in the system.
- Make outbound calls to carriers to confirm availability, discuss opportunities, and build rapport.
- Stay informed about industry trends and regional carrier capacity to support sourcing strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Some customer service experience required (retail, call center, hospitality, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable making outbound calls and interacting with people over the phone
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks
- Tech-savvy with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Willing to learn the transportation industry and grow within the company
- Resourceful, proactive, and eager to contribute to a fast-moving team
