Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Virginia Beach, VA, with opportunities for remote work. The counselor will provide outpatient therapy services to individuals, couples, or groups, tailoring treatment plans to meet client needs. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, maintaining detailed client records, and developing evidenced-based therapeutic strategies.
Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia
- Expertise in conducting client assessments, formulating treatment plans, and providing therapy sessions
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
- Ability to maintain detailed and confidential client records
- Knowledge of evidence-based counseling theories and techniques
- Experience working with diverse client populations and addressing a wide range of mental health concerns
- Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and basic technology required for virtual counseling
- Master's degree in counseling or related field
- Preferred: Experience providing therapy in a hybrid model and specialized training in EMDR
