Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiological evaluations.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with collaborative practice agreements and state regulations, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and DEA guidelines.
  • Manage a wide range of clinical procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, phlebotomy, and sterile processing techniques.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and medical records management.
  • Provide specialized care in areas such as telehealth, urgent care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, pain management, and hospice & palliative medicine.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, case management, and utilization review.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations using sonography or laboratory testing; interpret ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for accurate diagnosis documentation.
  • Assist in complex procedures including spinal taps, cardiac catheterization support, or airway management when necessary.
  • Engage in clinical research initiatives to advance evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication administration, wound care (including dermal fillers or Botox treatments), and chronic disease management.

Experience

  • Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine units—including ICU or Level I/II trauma centers—and outpatient clinics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner or similar platforms for documentation and order entry.
  • Extensive background in acute care settings including emergency room experience or critical care environments; ICU experience is highly valued.
  • Hands-on experience with medical procedures such as suturing, IV infusion/insertion, catheterization (including cardiac), tube feeding management, and sterile technique practices.
  • Familiarity with specialty areas like gastroenterology (e.g., gastric lavage), infectious disease care (including infection control protocols), neurocritical care (e.g., spinal taps), or pediatric/geriatric populations including neonatal ventilator management or memory/dementia care.
  • Knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes; understanding of Workers' Compensation law is a plus.
  • Experience working with diverse patient groups including children, seniors in assisted living or nursing home settings; individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring post-acute care services.
  • Ability to perform triage assessments in urgent or emergency situations; experience in occupational health or home care is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills for client education and team collaboration; familiarity with telehealth platforms enhances service delivery flexibility.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
