Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading the electrical aspects of the new lithium plant in Mebane. This includes overseeing equipment installation, commissioning, operator training, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and project timelines. The Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring reliable plant operations, enhancing workforce proficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead installation and commissioning of electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements.
· Develop and deliver training programs for operators and maintenance staff on the safe and efficient use of electrical systems and equipment.
· Provide technical support to production teams to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, minimizing downtime and improving productivity.
· Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems to ensure long-term reliability.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system optimization, equipment upgrades, and new technology integration.
· Manage electrical project milestones, addressing potential risks and delays to ensure timely execution.
· Maintain accurate documentation of electrical designs, layouts, and system modifications.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
· Proven experience in electrical design, installation, and troubleshooting, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
· Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design and layout.
· Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and support team members.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems.
· Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
· Project management experience or certification (PMP a plus).
· Knowledge of energy management systems and sustainable practices in electrical engineering.

Working Conditions
