Sunland Paving has been serving Florida’s West Coast since 1970. We are looking for dependable, hardworking Asphalt Laborers to join our paving crew. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in your work, and want to be part of an experienced paving team, we want to hear from you!
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with asphalt paving, patching, and roadway construction.
- Rake, lute, and shovel hot asphalt as needed.
- Assist the paving crew with preparing surfaces and placing asphalt.
- Perform handwork around edges, curbs, driveways, and other tight areas.
- Help maintain proper grades, slopes, joints, and drainage.
- Operate hand tools and assist equipment operators as directed.
- Maintain a clean and safe jobsite.
- Follow all company safety procedures and work as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Previous asphalt or construction experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions and varying weather.
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, with a few Saturdays per year.
- Approximately 45–55 hours per week.
