Construction Controller
Slick Construction in Eunice, LA is seeking a Controller / Financial Manager to join our team. This is an
in-office position, located in Eunice, LA, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES
o Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and administrative personnel while fostering
accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Responsible for the general
accounting functions of the company.
o Manage monthly/annual closeout process and analysis of financial results.
o Institute and perform periodic internal control audits/checks.
o Responsible for the supervision, support, and development of accounts payable &
receivable.
o Compile all quarterly and annual payroll tax reporting requirements.
o Manage cash flow, cash account balances, and reconciliations
o Prepare financial reporting and analysis
o Work closely with operations to assist them in their plan development including
financial and other operational goals.
o Analyzing and interpret construction and job cost accounting
o Oversee the risk management program to include review of insurance.
o Provide executive oversight and support for HR administration, payroll coordination,
benefits administration, and related compliance functions.
o Initiate financial and strategic planning processes, work closely with Operations to assist
in plan development including financial and other operational goals.
o Manage banking relationships, lines of credit, and cash management activities
o Any other duties necessary to manage the finance department.

o This individual must be willing to roll up their sleeves in a team setting and do anything
to meet the objectives provided.
o Leading and managing employees.
o Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex
accounting functions to other team members and the ability to relate to employees at
all levels of the organization.
o Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
o Should be well organized, detail oriented, flexible, and able to handle multiple
assignments with minimal supervision.
o Able to multitask and handle daily interruptions while still making progress on strategic
initiatives and daily deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS
o Bachelors or Advanced Degree in Accounting - Required
o Experience in leading and managing people
o 10 Years of related accounting and financial experience, construction or related
industry experience a plus.
o CPA is a plus
