Summary:
This policy applies to all employment practices within our organization, including hiring, recruiting, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, leave of absence, compensation, benefits, training, and apprenticeship. - Responsible for upkeep of department and related areas, hand sinks, floors, trash, dishes, pots, pans, walls and all equipment including refrigerators and freezers.
- Follows individual task assignments to be properly completed at the appropriate times
- Assists with assembly of items for pantry service. Serves hot and /or cold foods at meal times. Delivers and retrieves try carts from floors.
- Sorts and washes all dishes and flatware from all dining rooms and residents' rooms, utilizing proper infection control procedures.
- Sorts, scrubs and sanitizes all pots and pans, utilizing proper infection control procedures.
- Follows directives on placement of clean dish, utensil and pan storage.
- Keeps dish-room, utility room and pot/pan room clean and orderly and free from standing water.
- May prepare salads and desserts for meal service
- Preform simple food prep assigned by supervisor on duty
- May prepare and deliver nourishments and snacks to nursing units
- May deliver appropriate bulk meal items to pantries and staff dining rooms.
- Keep pantries and storerooms stocked and in order.
- Adhere to all regulatory sanitation guidelines.
- Performs related tasks as assigned
- Follow all safety rules
- Must be able to follow written and verbal directions.
- One (1) year food service related utility work preferred
