Infrastructure Engineer:
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for architecting, implementing, and managing Sungrow USA’s core IT infrastructure, including data center operations, hyper-converged systems, networking, and Azure & AWS cloud services. This role ensures high availability, scalability, and security of enterprise systems while supporting strategic IT initiatives through automation, documentation, and disaster recovery planning. The Infrastructure Engineer also acts as a backup for the Systems Engineer, providing coverage for critical hardware systems and foundational IT services during absences or peak periods. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Infrastructure Design & Implementation • Architect and deploy IT infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs, including servers, storage, and networking in AWS, Azure, and Nutanix data centers. • Lead modernization initiatives, conduct capacity planning, and manage the infrastructure lifecycle. • Plan and implement hybrid cloud and data center environments across Azure, AWS, and Nutanix. • Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, storage, and network across public cloud, data centers, and sites. • Ensure optimal performance, uptime, and security across all infrastructure components. • Support the migration of enterprise applications (ERP, WMS, CRM, etc.) to public cloud and data centers. • Cloud & Automation • Manage AWS and Azure cloud platforms and optimize hybrid connectivity. • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Bicep, and manage automation/configuration with Ansible. • Integrate IaC with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins) for automated provisioning. • Automate provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting tools. • Security & Compliance • Implement and manage security groups, network segmentation, encryption, RBAC, and key vaults for the infrastructure. • Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance with ISO 27001 and internal governance standards. • Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities across infrastructure components. • Disaster Recovery & Documentation • Design and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans. • Implement and test failover solutions for data center outages and cloud-based recovery. • Monitor backup integrity and ensure backup & disaster recovery objectives are met. • Maintain documentation for system configurations, client-server architecture and network diagrams, SOPs, and operational procedures. • Ensure documentation supports audits, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness. • Collaboration & Support • Collaborate on cross-functional projects. • Provide Tier 3 technical support for infrastructure-related issues. • Participate in incident response and on-call rotation.
Minimum Requirements: • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, including data center and cloud environments. • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and Nutanix. • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, etc. • Strong knowledge of disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and failover solutions. • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001). • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to provide Tier 3 support. • Experience supporting enterprise application migrations (ERP, WMS, CRM) to public cloud and data centers is preferred • Hands-on networking experience with Zscaler and Fortinet is preferred Education or Desired License and Certificates: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Relevant certifications (e.g., AZ-104, SysOps Administrator/CloudOps Engineer, Nutanix, Terraform, CCNA, Zscaler, Fortinet) preferred Competencies • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. • Organization, detail-oriented nature, and strong initiative. • Proactive approach to infrastructure optimization and automation.
