Safety Manager

Sungdo is a commercial and industrial pipe company working on projects across the United States. This job is related to the Kokomo battery plant.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols and procedures
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in safety regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate workplace hazards
- Coordinate with external agencies, such as OSHA or EPA, as necessary

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Strong understanding of workers compensation laws and processes
- Familiarity with conducting root cause analysis investigations
- Proficient in report writing and record keeping
- CPR, First Aid, and other relevant certifications preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and develop appropriate solutions
- Experience in training development is a plus
