Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide care in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Support individuals in meal preparation and meal plan.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote community inclusion.
- Implement individualized support plans and document accurately.
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure client safety.
- Always maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with Hoyer lifts and wheelchair use.
- Pass medications as trained. Consult with RN as needed.
- Fill in for scheduled employees during vacation, sick leave, or busy periods
- Work with your supervisor to ensure a smooth transition between shifts, maintaining high standards of service
- Adhere to company policies and procedures for a safe and productive environment
Experience
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Certification in CPR is a plus.
- Experience in home care or human services can be beneficial for this role.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members are essential.
