Role Description The Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist is a full-time, on-site role based in Wellington, FL. This role includes evaluating and treating children with a range of communication, speech, and language disorders, primarily in early intervention and preschool populations. Day-to-day tasks involve conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing play-based and functional therapy within the clinic’s village environment, and documenting progress in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards. The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate closely with families and caregivers, provide home program support, and coordinate care with occupational therapists and other professionals as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a neurodiversity-affirming, child-led therapy approach and participating in team meetings, professional development, and clinic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in pediatric Speech Therapy and Speech sound assessment and intervention.
- Experience working with Communication Disorders and Language Disorders in early childhood populations.
- Knowledge of Dysphagia management and feeding/swallowing considerations in pediatric clients, as applicable.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in Florida.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or strong CF candidate under supervision.
- Experience with play-based, child-led, and family-centered therapy approaches, preferably in a pediatric clinic setting.
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, communicate effectively with families, and create clear documentation and treatment plans.
- Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming practices and ongoing professional development in evidence-based pediatric interventions.
