Job Overview
Sunflower ABA is looking for independent, caring, fun-loving and supportive people who actually SHOW UP (or at least call/text to cancel with an hour in advance) to join our team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). What We Need from You
Love working with kids
Know how to have FUN and build RAPPORT with children and parents
Take direct feedback well (we build each other up!)
Keep up with data collection and documentation
Love to learn new skills
Can SHOW UP to work consistently and reliably (at least let us know BEFORE the day starts that your car breaks down or you are having a migraine, NOT answering our wellness check text an hour later, that is not cool... that is NO CALL NO SHOW!)
Can pass background checks (KBI, driving records, etc.)
Can stand, walk, and move at a brisk pace (or even run, you are running after some really fast kids!)
Can sit, kneel, squat or stoop (may have to sit on floor for 15 minutes or longer at a time)
Can lift and move up to 50 lbs (some kids really enjoy physical play)
Can have normal range of motion in arms, legs, hips, wrists, back, and neck (bonus: quick reflex, it saves lives!)
- High school diploma or higher (Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred)
- Active RBT certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or special needs (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills (communication: text, call, email!!!)
- Reliable (SHOW UP !!!), patient, and passionate about making a difference
