Dishwasher/Food Prep and Runner

Job Summary

Sunflour Bakery is looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Support Team Member to join our team. This role is an important part of keeping our bakery, café, and kitchen running smoothly each day.

The primary responsibility of this position is maintaining a clean and organized dish area by washing dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment from all areas of the business, including the kitchen, front of house, and bakery. During service and slower periods, this position will also assist with running food to guests, bussing tables, and helping with basic food preparation tasks.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in keeping a clean workspace, works well as part of a team, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a busy bakery and café environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, organize, and put away dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment from the kitchen, bakery, and front-of-house areas
• Maintain a clean and organized dish station throughout shifts
• Ensure kitchen tools and equipment are available and ready for the team when needed
• Assist with keeping kitchen, prep areas, and storage spaces clean and organized
• Run prepared food from the kitchen to guests during service
• Bus and reset tables to maintain a clean and welcoming dining area
• Assist with basic food preparation during downtime, including tasks such as portioning, slicing, prepping ingredients, and other kitchen support tasks
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures
• Work closely with kitchen, bakery, and front-of-house teams to support daily operations
• Help wherever needed to keep service running efficiently

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
• Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods and performing physical tasks
• Ability to work independently while also being a supportive team member
• Previous restaurant, bakery, or kitchen experience is helpful but not required
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Food safety knowledge is a plus

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
