Education: High school diploma / GED
Licensing: A valid driver’s license is required
Experience: 1 to 3 years (preferred)
Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties as needed to maintain a clean, operational, attractive, and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to learn the materials, methods, and practices used in cleaning operations.
- Ability to learn the operation and care of vacuum cleaners, scrubbers, waxing and polishing machines, and other janitorial equipment.
- Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions.
- Ability to exercise care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces.
- Minor maintenance and equipment repair abilities are a plus.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
- Standing/Walking 90%
- Lifting 10% (overhead, arm’s length up to 20 lbs., up to 100 lbs. with assistance)
- Bending 35%
- Pushing/Pulling 50%
- Climbing 5%
- The environment may be outdoors, with varying temperatures.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive or confined environment.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines, answering all calls promptly, and maintaining politeness, always paying attention to the needs of guests.
- Ability to use a vacuum cleaner, hand tools, ladders, and a shop vacuum.
- Computer knowledge - Basic skills
- Forklift Experience - Required
- Scissor Lift Experience
- Basic electrical knowledge
