Hydraulic Hose Technician

Sundown Welding and Repair is looking for a motivated hydraulic hose technician for our in-house hydraulic hose shop. We are a small, family-owned welding and mechanical repair company that has a new hose shop and garage alongside our mobile service trucks. Some mechanical experience is recommended but not needed for the right candidate.

Hydraulic hose technician's responsibilities will include:

• Determining the correct type of hydraulic hose and fittings for the hydraulic systems and knowing how to identify the type of hose to be duplicated,
• Identifying hydraulic fittings and parts: npt, jic, orb, orfs, jis, bsp, din l/h, CAT, Komatsu, code 61/62, types of valves, quick connect fittings, swivel fittings, types of o-rings, etc,
• Ordering and maintaining inventory of hydraulic hose and fittings to stock for our in-house shop and our mobile service trucks,
• Assembling custom hydraulic hose assemblies to customers spec.,
• Creating solutions to plumb hydraulic systems efficiently with customers, and
• Keep a neat and tidy work area.
