What are the responsibilities and job description for the SNOWMAKER LEVEL 2 position at Sunday River?
Overview :
As a Level 2 Snowmaker, you will brave the elements with the primary goal of safely and efficiently operating all snowmaking equipment. Must be a team player and take great pride in a job well done!
Schedule availability : 6 : 45 AM - 7 PM (day) or 6 : 45 PM - 7 AM (grave). Weekdays, weekends, holidays. Overtime required. Hours are weather dependent.
Responsibilities :
- All responsibilities of a Level 1 Snowmaker
- Receive daily work instruction and complete assigned tasks with a positive attitude and minimal supervision
- Operate high voltage equipment , high pressure air and water systems utilizing appropriate safety precautions
- Set up, tear down , and maintain snowmaking equipment in a safe and efficient manner on any trail that has snowmaking on it
- Work on the production of snow to create the best skiing surface
- Assist in charging, maintaining and blowing down of snowmaking systems
- Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of buildings, equipment, snow guns, and hoses
- Responsible for checking out and returning all tools, headlamps, and radios to original locations
- Unconditionally use the appropriate PPE required for the various types of work to be done
- Be willing to learn mechanical knowledge skills, including the understanding of hydrants , valves, water lines and other snowmaking systems components
- Able to troubleshoot and correct basic malfunctions and breakdowns of snowmaking equipment
- Offer continual training and assistance of the standard operational and safety practices to Level 1 Snowmakers
- Be willing to help in other departments during peak periods
- Complete other duties as assigned by management or supervisor with a positive attitude
