The Hospice Chaplain will provide spiritual care and support to patients, families, and caregivers facing serious illness or end-of-life situations. Responsibilities include offering spiritual counseling, facilitating meaningful rituals, coordinating with the interdisciplinary care team, documenting patient interactions, and respecting varying religious, spiritual, and cultural backgrounds. Qualifications
- Expertise in spiritual counseling, pastoral care, and providing emotional support
- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and communicating across various roles
- Knowledge of end-of-life care practices and sensitivity to diverse religious, cultural, and spiritual beliefs
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, active listening, and a non-judgmental approach
- Master's degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field (preferred)
- Certification or ordination in faith-based chaplaincy or spiritual care (preferred)
- Experience in hospice care or healthcare settings (highly regarded)
