Are you an experienced Environmental and Regulatory professional with a focus on emissions monitoring and refinery environmental compliance? In this fast-paced role, you will be an integral member of our Environmental, Health & Safety team at our Commerce City refinery, which is the largest refinery in the Rocky Mountain region and the only petroleum refinery in Colorado.
As the Environmental & Regulatory Advisor - Air, you will support environmental and regulatory compliance activities associated with the Commerce City Refinery as well as administer specialized environmental regulatory compliance programs. You will provide day-to-day technical support to various functions of the refinery and advise on based on environmental regulatory analysis.
Salary Range: $118,000 - $137,000 Annually

- Bachelors degree in engineering, environmental science or other closely related discipline
- 5 years of relevant industry environmental experience
- Experience in an environmental program area that involves operations and experience providing guidance on a day-to-day basis to management and/or operations personnel
- Experience with Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), Data Acquisition & Handling Systems (DAHS), as well as environmental databases
- Knowledge and understanding of refinery operations, processes and relations to emission sources
Responsibilities:
- Collect and assess information and propose technical solutions that provide maximum benefit and flexibility, considering compliance, performance, and sustainability
- Provide environmental compliance guidance to refinery operations and instrumentation teams
- Assist in the preparation of monthly Greenhouse Gas Emission inventories for the refinery
- Assist in the implementation of Title V permit rule and other state and federal rules
- Complete and deliver emissions reporting for various requirements within regulatory required deadlines
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain environmental databases, emission calculations and emission inventories
- You will work out of our Commerce City refinery, located at 5801 Brighton Blvd.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs, including being on-call as appropriate and potentially working night shifts as necessary during large scale outages, turnarounds, and/or emergencies
- You will be required to use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
