Auction Processing Associate

Location: Oldsmar, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday

Help Build the Future of Our Growing Online Auction Operation

Suncoast Liquidators is one of Tampa Bay's leading liquidation companies, and we're expanding our online auction division. We're looking for motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our team and help build one of the area's premier online auction operations.

This isn't a traditional warehouse position. Our Auction Processing Associates combine warehouse operations with technology, inventory management, product research, photography, quality control, and customer service.

Every day you'll work with thousands of unique products from major retailers. You'll use iPads and specialized software to inspect, photograph, catalog, and prepare merchandise for online auction.

If you're someone who enjoys staying busy, learning new technology, working independently, and taking pride in producing high-quality work, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As an Auction Processing Associate, you'll play an important role in preparing merchandise for our online auctions.

Your daily responsibilities may include:

  • Scan products using iPads, barcode scanners, and warehouse software.
  • Match merchandise to manifests and inventory records.
  • Identify brands, models, serial numbers, and product specifications.
  • Research unfamiliar products using manufacturer information, AI tools, and online resources.
  • Inspect merchandise for condition and completeness.
  • Accurately grade products as New, Open Box, Used, Damaged, Missing Parts, Untested, or Salvage.
  • Photograph products according to company standards.
  • Create accurate product descriptions and notes.
  • Label, organize, and store inventory.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient work area.
  • Meet daily productivity and quality expectations.
  • Assist with additional warehouse duties as business needs require.

Customer Pickup Responsibilities

Our auction team also assists customers picking up their winning auction items.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Locate and pull completed customer orders.
  • Verify merchandise against customer invoices.
  • Stage orders for pickup.
  • Assist customers professionally during pickup.
  • Help load merchandise when appropriate.
  • Resolve missing or misplaced items with the auction team.
  • Maintain an organized pickup area.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service.

What We're Looking For

The process in this position is consistent—scan, inspect, photograph, catalog, and store—but the products are always changing.

Success comes from applying good judgment, maintaining attention to detail, and making accurate decisions across hundreds of unique products every week.

We're looking for dependable, self-motivated individuals who take pride in working efficiently, making good decisions, and consistently producing high-quality work while working independently after training.

The ideal candidate:

  • Takes ownership of their work.
  • Is a self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what to do next.
  • Maintains a fast, consistent pace throughout the day.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Learns new technology and software quickly.
  • Thinks critically and solves problems independently.
  • Enjoys researching unfamiliar products.
  • Has excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Communicates professionally with coworkers and customers.
  • Is dependable, punctual, and has excellent attendance.
  • Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is helpful but not required:

  • Warehouse or distribution experience.
  • Inventory management experience.
  • Retail merchandising experience.
  • Experience using inventory software or barcode scanners.
  • Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and computers.
  • Experience with eBay, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, Shopify, or other online marketplaces.

  • Stand and walk for most of the workday.
  • Bend, reach, push, pull, and move merchandise throughout the shift.
  • Work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
