Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The location for this position is located in Jefferson, GA and you will be home every single weekend if you are traveling between the 5 states . This position is Monday-Friday with shifts starting at 11pm and typically you can expect the shift to last around 10 hours daily. This position is 95% pallet delivery. Some dock delivery and some lift gate roll off. Will have occasional loose piece to offload (pipes, pvc, etc) Drivers will have layovers as they will be driving between 5 states but may not have layovers, and could be home daily schedule will be discussed during interview. Duties
-Use of a dry van trailer
-deliver palletized freight or lose products
make between 2-7 stops per route
Experience
- Prefer minimum of one year Class A tractor-trailer on road driving experience to include comparable experience with large military vehicles
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age requirement 21 years
- Valid CDL with hazardous material endorsement or 90 days to obtain
- Must meet the physical qualification requirement established for the USDOT (Part 391, Subpart E)
- Must pass DOT drug screen and be enrolled in a random drug screen program
- No positive test for illegal drugs for any test conducted per the rules and regulations of the USDOT.
- Prefer experience with operating Class A tractor-trailers in all weather conditions.
- Must read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand highway signs and signals, converse with delivery clients and general public, respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports/records.
- Must pass Ace Hardware Physical Agility Test (PAT) for drivers
- Must satisfactorily complete all parts of the Ace Hardware Loss Prevention pre-employment screening program.
