Overview
We are seeking a long-term team member who has experience as a dump truck driver to join our team. We haul mostly in the Pace/Milton/Pensacola areas.
Duties
- Operate a dump truck to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and asphalt.
- Communicate clearly with contractors/customers, team members, managers, and the mechanic
- Perform routine daily inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, time of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents that occur during operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating vehicles on and off construction sites.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Dump Truck Driver or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred. (2 years off-road driving experience minimum)
- Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. (2 years minimum)
- Familiarity with operating heavy machinery such as loaders and excavators is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members/management/contractors/customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
- Be respectful at all times to contractors/customers, team members, the mechanic, and management.
