Overview:

This role is central to the success of our work, supporting a curated slate of productions and serving as a key liaison between creative and technical teams to ensure a smooth, professional, and well-executed process from rehearsal through performance.

We welcome candidates from a range of locations who are available to work in Florida for the duration of the season and are excited to contribute to a collaborative, supportive, and high-functioning production environment.

Responsibilities:
The Stage Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of assigned productions, coordinating rehearsals, maintaining clear and consistent communication across departments, and ensuring that each production is executed with precision and professionalism. This includes preparing and distributing rehearsal reports, tracking all production elements, calling cues during technical rehearsals and performances, and maintaining the integrity of the show throughout its run. The Stage Manager will work closely with directors, designers, cast, and crew to support an efficient rehearsal process and a seamless transition into performance, while fostering a respectful and well-organized working environment.

Qualifications:
Candidates should have demonstrated experience stage managing theatrical productions, with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate challenges, and respond with clarity and professionalism is essential. Experience calling shows, working through technical rehearsals, and maintaining detailed documentation is required.

Preferred:
Experience with musicals as well as familiarity with fast-paced or repertory-style environments, is highly valued. Background in regional theatre, touring productions, or similarly rigorous production settings is a plus. Candidates who bring a steady, collaborative presence and a strong sense of accountability are especially encouraged to apply.

Rehearsal/Performance Process:
Rehearsal schedules may overlap with active performance periods. It is important for candidates to be aware of this expectation, as productions may require simultaneous commitments to both rehearsals and performances. Understanding and preparing for this scheduling structure helps ensure professionalism, reliability, and smooth production operations.

Compensation:
Base compensation begins at $700 and may vary depending on qualifications and scope of work.
