Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care and support in various settings, including home health, assisted living facilities, and group homes. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of those you care for.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in the client's condition.
- Administer medications as per care plans and assist with meal preparation and cooking.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Assist clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs, including those with Alzheimer's or dementia care requirements.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess experience in caregiving or related fields such as:
- Home & community care experience or direct support roles.
- Working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Long-term care experience in nursing homes or hospice settings.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques to ensure client safety.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and patient monitoring practices.
- Skills in cooking, cleaning, and meal preparation tailored to dietary needs.
