Job Title: Mill Operator
Job Description:
A Bulk Team Member is responsible for operating the plants efficiently, in a safe manner while ensuring a quality product and exhibiting superior customer service.
Reports To: Chief Operations Officer
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform bulk grading and insuring product meets Sunbird Quality expectations
- Oversee truck loading and unloading processes
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of work area and equipment
- Accurately track production type, quality and time
- Take bulk samples of various products as required
- Strong customer service orientation
- Able to problem solve and make decision as needed
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Able to work outside in all types of weather, climb ladders, and work from heights
- Potential to work long irregular hours (weekends and holidays included)
- Follow all company policies, safety, haz-mat, etc
- Report all accidents, violations and repairs to management immediately
- Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel
- Take on additional tasks as needed within plants.
- Ensure paperwork is completed completely and accurately for all programs
- Operate forklift within warehouse
- Operate Mill
- Housekeeping
Job Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Able to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills
- Able to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
- Helps fulfil government compliance requirements
- Positive attitude
