Position Summary
The Assistant Manager plays a critical role in supporting the overall efficiency and productivity of the manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position assists in overseeing production operations, managing employees, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and coordinating activities across departments. The Assistant Manager works closely with plant leadership to achieve production goals, improve processes, and maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience supervising a food or beverage manufacturing plant, including responsibility for production teams, quality, safety, and operational performance.
- Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, GMPs, HACCP, Lean principles, quality systems, and workplace safety standards.
- Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing/ERP software systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily manufacturing operations and achieving production objectives.
- Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate production personnel.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Production teams to optimize plant performance.
- Monitor production schedules, staffing levels, and operational efficiencies.
- Analyze production metrics and prepare reports for the General Manager.
- Support budgeting, labor management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, GMPs, HACCP requirements, and workplace safety standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Act on behalf of the General Manager as directed and provide leadership support across manufacturing operations.
