This role focuses on delivering intervention support to Special Education students across various grade levels, working closely both in small or moderate group settings and one-on-one sessions.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload of students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade, with assignments potentially concentrated in Elementary (K-6), Middle, or High School (7-12) settings depending on the current needs at the school. The goal is to foster student well-being, address emotional and social challenges, and collaborate with educators and families to implement effective intervention strategies.
Key qualifications for this position:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field
- Full Approval or Social Worker Certificate through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), or an SSW 310 credential letter from university with the MDE application process initiated
- Current Michigan State Social Worker license through LARA
- Experience working with K-12 populations, particularly in Special Education settings
- Strong skills in individual and group intervention for diverse student needs
