A specialized imaging professional is sought to provide expert vascular ultrasound services in a dynamic outpatient and inpatient vascular clinic. This contract position is located in Lexington, NC, with the opportunity to support an additional outpatient lab in High Point, NC as needed. The role requires proficiency in a range of vascular ultrasound examinations and strong familiarity with advanced imaging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound exams including carotid, upper/lower arterial and venous studies, DVT/reflux assessments, vein mapping, mesenteric and renal artery evaluations, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screenings, and hemodialysis graft imaging.
- Utilize specialty equipment including Philips Epic Elite ultrasound systems, Parks PVR/Segmental Pressure machines, and VascuPro reporting software.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting through EMR systems, primarily EPIC.
- Collaborate effectively with department leadership and clinical peers to support patient care excellence.
- Participate in weekend rotation and holiday coverage on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, with no on-call duties.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification from ARDMS or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) certification from CCI.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Proven expertise with EPIC EMR is essential.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to floating assignments, assisting at the High Point outpatient lab as necessary.
Schedule:
- Regular hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with rotating weekend shifts.
- Off every Thursday when working a weekend.
