A 16-week travel nursing opportunity is available on the West 7 Med/Tele Complex Care unit, providing care for a 37-bed acute medical-surgical and telemetry patient population. This role offers 12-hour night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM) with 36 to 48 hours per week options. Weekend coverage includes one shift per week or two shifts every other weekend. The role requires at least one holiday worked per contract and demands flexibility to meet the facilitys changing schedule needs, including possible float assignments and charge nurse dutieswith training provided as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year recent acute med-surg/telemetry experience (2 years preferred)
- For non-U.S. candidates: 2 years U.S.-based work experience required
- Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to acute med-surg/telemetry patients
- Chart patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Adapt to float assignments across various units as needed
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities when requested
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient outcomes
