Schedule/Hours
- On-call per unit needs (must arrive within 1 hour if called in)
- 36 hours are not guaranteed; facility may low-census for up to 12 hours per 2-week period
- Shifts can include weekends and holidays
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ medical-surgical RN experience
- At least 1 year of prior travel RN work
- Mentor or charge experience in high-acuity units
- Valid, unencumbered Ohio RN license
- BLS certification
Core Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive physical, emotional, and psychological assessments on admission and throughout patient stays
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized care plans
- Accurately administer medications (oral, IV, injectable) and monitor for adverse reactions
- Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes per hospital standards
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and post-discharge care
- Provide post-operative care, pain management, and wound care when required
- Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient status
- Adhere closely to all infection control and safety protocols
