Key Responsibilities: • Apply nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for cardiac and telemetry patients. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring effectiveness and side effects. • Document patient histories, symptoms, and care accurately. • Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs. • Make clinical assignments and delegate appropriately to manage patient care. • Comply with nursing standards and organizational competencies. • Participate in orientation and ongoing competency validations to ensure quality care delivery.
Qualifications and Experience: • Current RN license in the state of employment or through compact licensing. • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association. • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. • Minimum of one year in a related nursing specialty is preferred. • Completion of new nurse orientation and competency validations as required.
Work Schedule: • 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts, full-time. • Every other weekend schedule. • No on-call duties.
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: • Typically ranging from 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing.
