Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for an elementary school setting to provide specialized support for students with diverse speech and language needs. This contract position is based in Riverside, CA, covering leave coverage at one elementary school site.Key Responsibilities:Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students aged 5-12.Manage a caseload of 45-55 students with a range of speech disabilities, including mild to significant challenges.Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices as part of therapy plans.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Maintain detailed records of student progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.Adapt therapy techniques to meet individual student needs and promote effective communication skills.Qualifications and Desired Experience:Valid California Speech Language Pathologist credential or license.Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school environment.Proficiency in AAC devices and techniques for students with complex communication needs.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high caseload efficiently.Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate in an educational setting.Location:Riverside, CaliforniaSchedule:37.5 hours per weekContract position covering a leave of absenceThis role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student communication development through targeted therapy and collaboration.
