Step into a rewarding contract role focusing on the educational and developmental needs of K-12 students as a Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. Beginning in August and extending through June 2027, this onsite position spans 37.5 hours each week. Enjoy the fulfillment of working directly with a diverse student body, collaborating with school staff, and helping to shape students’ communication skills throughout the school year.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in pediatric and school-based speech therapy, whether holding the SLP-CCC or SLPA background. You will play a key role in providing assessments, developing individualized intervention plans, and ensuring students achieve their communication goals in an engaging learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TX license for SLP or SLPA
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in school settings
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- A positive approach to teamwork, collaboration, and advocacy for students
- Familiarity with IEP processes and educational documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students onsite
- Conduct assessments and reassessments to determine student needs and progress
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with teachers and families
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with other school professionals and contribute expertise within multidisciplinary teams
